Small accomplishments, big accomplishments

Wife gave birth to little Dahathri safely! It wasn't an easy LSCS but Dr. Premitha did a good job and now there are 3 little guys in my house. Hmm, maybe 2, Shastri doesn't show signs of quitting his exponential growth. He permanently outgrew his toddler, preschool mentality....he's all but a man now.

I passed my ANZCA in a hard fought battle fraught with exam stress and personal issues, but I managed to come out tops.....

Got called for a job offer in Melbourne and wife is all for it...now to prepare for that.

managed to get called up for the viva in australia

establishing my aquarium, got the tank planted, did my own diy co2 setup, and building a cannister filter. for a diy naive guy like me, that takes some effort. my brother contributed a great deal by letting use his factory and drill bits.

wife getting more pregnant-if thats possible

workouts-still not optimum

kids got chicken-pox!

Its been such a long time since I bloged consistently. Its a real test of discipline and I guess I suck!
I keep reminding myself the real reason I blog is so that I can review some things that happenin my life and my kids can see what I have been up to during my younger days. I am good 32 years old and guess I lived through a lot of stuff for someone my age. I do hope the best is yet to come. Some day, I plan to make an interesting list of things that have been happening in my life.

Things of interest of late:

1. Redoing my discus aquarium. Its occupying my heart and soul! Dr.Ling, my good friend is also a discus/planted tank enthusiast and is extremely helpfull. Wife is also a discus fan.

2. Wife is due with our third child in October.

3. Attempting to repair my botched Anzca attempt. Will I make it?

We enlisted in a nearby country club and I started some form of regular workouts...

My good friend Mafeitz is now a fully qualified anaesthesiologist. Some strange twist of fate have always seen to it that our paths cross event though we drift in different directions and I hope I will join his ranks someday.

Kids? Ardithya stomach issues is somehow getting better and Shastri is huge!

Thats all for now.

SELF PITY

Sometimes, the temptation to feel sorry for yourself is very great. Unfortunately, its leads to vicious cycle of self pity and doesn't do any good for anyone. When you have several mouths to feed, its also a luxury you can ill afford.

Many people have the strength to plow through obstacles others place before them. They all make inspirational stories. But I still believe the greatest battles take place when we overcome our own self pity and the desire to stop feeling sorry for ourselves..sadly such stories dont make good reading material and will never be told.

My kids are growing before my very eyes! Shastri is so large and outgoing for his age, so outgoing that he can be handfull sometimes. He's adjusted well to his new kindi. Its a Mandarin based school and he is own his way to mastering a third language. Right now, he is torn between deciding to a cop or a cardiac surgeon..he doesn't seem to be the anaesthetist type.

Aditya is a darling in his own way. He has some health issue and as a result doesn't tower over other kids like his brother. His penchant for violence, destruction and disorder and chaos is also absent, unlike the older one. He is agile, quick and has an acute intelligence. He fiddles around with tv remote batteries when the channel don't change. He also like building things and seems to know where all the light switches are. He clearly has a mechanical mind. Wife is a bit concerned about his medical issues but i think he will grow up to be fine young man.

My wife and I seem to be spending more time with each other of late. We go jungle trekking and hiking on weekends. We also talk a lot more.

She made the most delicious lunch for my birthday. I have eaten in many fine restaurants but my wife's cooking beats them all. Her lamb stew was simply amazing today.

Soon it will be exams again, but with so many more important things going on, I don't seem to be studying much! Oh well.....cant have everything all the time.
